Weighted blankets are absolute game changers for many autistic people and anyone who suffers with an anxiety-related disorder. I love mine.

They’re available in all price ranges and weights and you can also find lap-sized ones for use at the desk, or anywhere that a full-sized blanket might make you feel a little awkward. They’re incredibly comforting for many and really unpleasant for those who don’t like the feeling of restriction. It’s important to choose the weight that suits your own weight so you get the right amount of compression.

I also find wearing an eye mask, or putting a small, yoga-style beanbag on my forehead calms me too.
