Self-diagnosis, in the context of neurodivergenceautism, ADHD and friends – is perfectly valid if it feels right for you.

I’m yet to meet anyone who self-diagnoses as neurodivergent, after reading a couple of really well written neurodivergent-authored books, and has gone to wrong about their own assessment. We recognise ourselves within those pages – it truly is a lightbulb moment of recognition. This suggests that we really shouldn’t underestimate how well we really know ourselves!

You can read more on this on the Diagnosis – do we need a formal one? entry.
