A neurotype is simple a category of mind with neurological wiring that is distinct to that group. Autistic minds are one neurotype. Neurotypical minds are all those that are not neurodivergent. Within these groups, there is obviously huge variation, because everyone is unique, but there are enough similarities for them to be broadly classified.

Referring to autistic people as having a different neurotype to the majority is more accurate and respectful towards us than describing us as having a disorder.
