I was surfing away, determinedly looking for a K word, so that my glossary isn’t incomplete, and I came across ketchup and autism!

I’m a big fan of ketchup, of condiments in general, to the point where I can’t eat a particular food if it doesn’t have the right sauce on it. Well, it turns out, I’m not alone. It is very common for autistic people to slather a lot of foods in ketchup as a way of creating similarity between meals. It helps with eating less appetising foods and it creates predictability at meal times. In fact, it’s so common that I even came across an autism support group in Yorkshire called Ketchup for Breakfast!

There. K is done.
