Autistic Pride Day has been modelled on LGBTQIA+ Pride. It has been an international event since 2005 and was established by a group called Aspies for Freedom. Its official day each year is 18th June but it can be on a weekend near to this or, like Gay Pride, at any time of year that makes it logistically possible.

The UK locations include Hyde Park – London, Manchester, Bath, Liverpool and Brighton. The main thing is that it’s a celebration of being autistic!
