Autigender is a term developed from within the autistic community. It describes the attitude to gender that autistic people may feel and experience, specifically because of our neurotype. We, as a neurodivergent group, tend to have a more flexible, less rigid view of gender, probably because we already find ourselves on the outside of the mainstream, so this opens up all sorts of possibilities (this is one of the plus points to being an outsider).

Anyway, this article says it all a lot better than me → click here for Autigender is a great word: when neurodivergence and gender intersect.
